Strategic priorities

Overview

We are focusing on prevention through extending our reach, building trust, deepening understanding, amplifying our impact and continuously evolving.

The CDRT’s Strategic Priorities 2025–2030 outline our focus for the next five years: what we aim to achieve, how we will achieve it, and how we will measure our progress.

Each priority strengthens our role as a trusted, evidence-based voice in child death prevention and system reform across New South Wales.

Our five priorities

Our priorities are:

  1. Promote awareness of the CDRT and the value of our insights to extend our reach.
  2. Enhance open and constructive relationships with key agencies to build trust.
  3. Leverage external data and expand access to our information to deepen understanding.
  4. Diversify communication channels and reports to amplify our impact.
  5. Continuously evolve our model to future proof our relevance.

Priorities in practice

Together, these priorities shape how we collaborate, share insights and drive prevention across NSW.

Progress against these priorities is tracked through quarterly CDRT meetings and reported publicly in our Annual Reports.
