NSW Child Death Review Team Annual Report 2024-25 tabled

The NSW Ombudsman has tabled its NSW Child Death Review Team (CDRT) Annual Report 2024–25 in the Parliament of NSW today.  The Ombudsman is the convenor of the State’s Child Death Review Team (CDRT).

The CDRT is responsible for registering, classifying, analysing, and reporting on data and trends relating to all deaths of children aged 0-17 years in NSW. It also conducts and commissions research aimed at preventing or reducing the risk of child deaths in NSW.

This Report outlines the work of the CDRT over the last year, detailing the extent to which previous CDRT’s recommendations to prevent or reduce the likelihood of child deaths have been accepted by agencies, and the progress being made to implement recommendations.
